Baviera Golf lies in a valley at the foot of the Sierra de Almijara, about 500 m from Caleta de Vélez and its marina, east of Málaga. The course is fairly level, with large, contoured greens and a wide variety of hazards, and many holes look toward the Mediterranean and the mountains.

The layout suits a wide range of handicaps; maximum handicaps are 28 for men and 36 for women. The club has a driving range, a pro shop, club and buggy hire and a clubhouse restaurant with an outdoor terrace. Package rounds include a shared buggy, and the club may pair odd players.

Torre del Mar, with BQ Andalucía Beach Hotel, is about 10 minutes away by car, and Málaga Airport about 30 minutes.
